Health support for everyone

Some health services are available to everyone and some require a referral from a professional, such as a GP, dentist, nurse at your child’s school or a paediatrician.

In this section we explore a range of health services, which are delivered by a number of different organisations locally to everyone.

Local health services

Local organisations providing health services include: Northumberland County Council, Northumbria Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHCFT) and Cumbria, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear NHS Trust (CNTW).

The services available include care provided in your home, from your GP practice, in a primary care centre and for children in schools.

The following sections will explore support available from GPS and dentists, as well as explaining annual health checks in more detail.
