Dietetics

Northumbria Healthcare’s children’s dietetic service is available to support the families of children and young people who live in Northumberland (and North Tyneside).

The dietetics service can help by offering advice on nutritional support, supplements and deficiencies, as well as:

  • providing advice for children and young people who are underweight or overweight

  • offering specialist dietary advice for children and young people with food allergies, diabetes or coeliac disease

  • giving dietary advice for children and young people with a learning disability or autism, who are selective or fussy eaters

  • supporting children and young people (and their parents or carers) with an eating disorder
