 Education & schools

Find more information about what education settings and the Local Authority must do to support learners with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND).
All education settings and schools must make provision for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. Pupils with SEND have the greatest need for excellent teaching and are entitled to provision that supports achievement at, and enjoyment of, school.

We want to equip parents and carers with an understanding of what they can expect from education and from their Local Authority.

We have created the following sub-sections to help you navigate through this education and schools section to find the information, support and advice you need.
